Osecours is a personal safety and emergency utility designed to help users quickly contact emergency services and trusted contacts during critical situations.
2. Information Usage & Core Features
To provide emergency assistance, the app utilizes the following device features:
Location (GPS): To determine and send your precise coordinates to your selected emergency contacts only when an SOS alert is triggered.
SMS Services: To automatically dispatch emergency messages (SOS) containing your location to your trusted contacts.
Phone/Calling: To facilitate immediate calls to local emergency services or personal contacts.
3. Data Collection & Privacy
Osecours does NOT collect, store, or upload your personal data to external servers.
All information (such as emergency contact numbers) stays locally on your device.
We do not have access to your location history or your contact list.
Data is only processed locally at the moment you manually trigger an SOS.
4. Data Sharing
Your data (such as GPS location) is only shared with the specific contacts you have chosen and only at the moment of an alert. The app does not sell, trade, or share any data with third-party companies or advertisers.
5. Emergency Resources Disclaimer
Osecours provides links to external official safety resources (such as the Red Cross/IFRC) for informational purposes only. The app:
Does not provide direct medical advice or first aid instructions.
Is not a medical device.
Is not a substitute for professional emergency services (Police, Fire, Ambulance).
6. Required Permissions
The app requests access to Location, SMS, and Phone. These permissions are strictly used for the core safety features described above. Without these permissions, the app cannot send your location to your contacts.
7. Children’s Privacy
The app is a safety utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
